Full-body scanners, which can detect concealed objects that are prohibited beneath clothing in order to locate them effectively, are a useful tool for the purpose.

Full-body scanners for passenger checks and 3D computed tomography X–ray (CTX) machines for scanning the cabin bag will be introduced at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi next May, making it the first in the country. Other prominent airports will replicate, and new ones such as those in Greater Noida and Navi Mumbai will have these facilities from the moment they open in approximately a year.
